Terms of Service
INVEXB (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2022/283237/07. Effective 30 August 2026
These terms of service are the agreement between you and INVEXB (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2022/283237/07) for the Footrand mobile app, this website, wallets, claims and shop membership. Footrand is operated by INVEXB (Pty) Ltd. By creating an account, downloading the app, joining as a shop, or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Footrand.
Who we are
INVEXB (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2022/283237/07) operates Footrand in South Africa. All contact, including support, shop membership and privacy requests, goes to support@footrand.co.za.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 applies where you use Footrand as a consumer. Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under that Act or under POPIA that cannot be limited by contract.
Your account
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract in South Africa. One person, one account. Keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account unless you have told us it was used without your permission.
You can delete your account in the app at any time. Open account or settings and choose delete account. Deletion ends these terms for future use of the app. Amounts already lawfully due, and records we must keep by law, still stand.
The app
Footrand shows cash that shops and Footrand hide in real stores. You download the app, walk into a store, and claim when the app confirms you are inside. Cash drops are limited, can end when stock is gone, and are not listed as a public catalogue on this website.
The app needs location permission to confirm you are in the shop. If you refuse location, you cannot claim. We do not use location to sell your movements to anyone.
Claim rules
A claim is only valid if all of the following are true:
- You are physically inside the store that published the reward.
- The reward still has stock and has not expired.
- You have not already claimed that reward.
- You follow any condition the shop wrote on the reward, such as a purchase if one is required.
- You are not using fake location, a second account, or any trick to look like you are inside.
Footrand or the shop may decline a claim that breaks these rules. Repeated abuse can lead to account suspension or deletion. Cash that has already settled to your wallet is paid under the wallet rules below.
Wallet and payouts
Cash rewards settle to your Footrand wallet. You can ask to pay out to a South African bank account from R10. You must give true bank details in your own name. We distribute those funds. Shops do not send walker money. Payouts can take a short clearing period. We may hold or reverse a payout if we reasonably believe the claim was not valid.
Footrand only publishes cash. Claimed cash settles to your wallet. Footrand pays that cash.
What you may not do
- Create fake accounts, spoof your location, or claim when you are not in the store.
- Interfere with the app, the website, or other people's accounts.
- Use Footrand for any crime, or to launder money.
- Copy, scrape or resell the app, our mark, or our reward data.
- Harass shop staff or other walkers.
We may freeze or close an account that breaks these rules. You can still delete your account in the app at any time.
Shops and partners
If you join as a shop, you confirm you are allowed to bind that business. Membership is a monthly package: Essential R399, Plus R699, or Pro R999, paid on this website through Paystack. Enterprise and Corporate is quoted. We list the store on the walker map, hide cash inside, and put till stands at the till according to the package. Shops do not run a dashboard, publish rewards, or pay walkers. Footrand pays the walkers.
Partner store subscriptions are not refundable. You can cancel the subscription at any time by sending a message to support or through the contact form. Cancellation stops the next charge. Amounts already paid are not refunded. The Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy are on this website.
Shops do not receive walker phone numbers, emails or bank details. Abuse of the map, or of walker data (which you will not have), can get the shop suspended. Write to support@footrand.co.za.
This website has no shop login. Walkers use the app. Footrand staff sign in on a private staff door.
Privacy and POPIA
How we collect and use personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy on this website. We do not sell your name or data. We do not share your personal information for other people's marketing. You can delete your account in the app at any time. POPIA rights, including access, correction and complaint to the Information Regulator, are explained in that policy.
Our mark and content
The Footrand name, footprint mark, app, website and content belong to us or our licensors. You get a limited, personal right to use the app and site as these terms allow. You do not get ownership. Shops appear on the walker map while membership is active.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Footrand available, but the app, maps and payouts can be delayed or interrupted. Rewards depend on stock and on you being in the store. We do not promise a particular reward will be waiting when you arrive.
To the extent South African law allows, Footrand is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for a delayed payout while we check a claim. We do not exclude or limit liability for gross negligence, fraud, or any liability that the Consumer Protection Act does not allow us to exclude.
Changes and end of use
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page will change. The current version lives on the Terms of Service page on this website. If you keep using Footrand after a change, the new terms apply. You can delete your account in the app if you do not agree.
We may stop offering Footrand or a feature. If your account is open and cash is sitting in your wallet, we will still let you request a lawful payout of a valid balance, subject to these terms and the law.
Law and disputes
South African law applies. You may use the channels in the Consumer Protection Act where they apply. Otherwise, the courts of Gauteng have jurisdiction, unless a mandatory law says otherwise.
If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy and the Cancellation Policy, are the whole agreement for your use of Footrand. Contact support@footrand.co.za.
